Negatives: There was goose poop on the side and cover for the hot tub so we couldn't use it.

Negatives: The staff could’ve been more welcoming, there wasn’t really an introductory discussion on the facility at check in. The room was dated, bed very uncomfortable, the facility & room smelt damp.

Negatives: This is third time we’ve stayed at the South Thompson Inn and we upgraded to a Deluxe King suite expecting that the bed would be more comfortable than the standard rooms. It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable! We barely got any sleep and we certainly were not expecting this after paying more for the upgraded room. Definitely not worth the money paid and we will be looking for another hotel upon our next visit.

Negatives: Very poor value for the cost of a room. No fridge or microwave in the room. No coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was a choice of granola bars, a fruit cup and cup of yogurt. No iron or hair dryer supplied. Bare bones room for twice the price of regular motels.

Negatives: The plumbing fixtures in the room are very dated and in poor repair. The shower requires you to bend over so you don't hit your head.

Negatives: We understand the owners have remained the same, but management has changed and there are the basic pieces of hospitality missing such as ensuring staff are trained to be hospitable and anticipate guests needs and requests ( not be asked why they require extra towels or coffee pods etc..) The bar/restaurant seems to be always closed ( never open we we stay) and the brown bagged continental breakfast is very cheap and wouldnt be adequate for a 3rd grader unless they liked stale rock hard muffins, an old granola bar, fruit cup, yogurt and mini juice box! We had to ask for the doggy treat that is normally waiting in our room...at $30 surcharge per night this should be provided each day of stay...it wasn't. Housekeeping is hit and miss - they don't provide it daily as it isn't available....? The hot tub and pool are never open it seems. Itps the little things sometimes that make a difference in making people feel welcome....the other disappointment was no brewed coffee in the lobby anymore since Covid - 4 + years ago!!?. Guest are expected to used Kuerig machines in the room with powder milk and paper cups! For the room price and overall experience this doesn't meet expectations and is the standards of a motel 6 or the like. Is unfortunate as the location is lovely but the services offered and training of staff does not provide comfort or value (for $1200 for 3 nights) in staying here. My background is 20+ yrs in hospitality working in hotels and restaurants and this was so disappointing to say the least. I will send feedback directly to management but am not entirely confident that changes will be made....

Negatives: The bathroom was a bit dated and needs updating. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was really bad at times to a point were no water came out of the tap. Also it would have been nice to have a divider to the next apartment on the patio to give it a little privacy.

Negatives: Very stuffy room —poor air circulation. Rotten sleeps.

Negatives: No staff to help with luggage. All self-service much like an Airbnb. Guess this is common in Canada

Negatives: Dinner Menu was limited and food was not good!
