Positives: The atrium was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting by the pool to socialize with friends.

Negatives: The room that as we stayed in, was as far from the lobby as possible. There is only one elevator, so it was quit a journey to our room. Seeing as the hotel appeared to be almost empty, why assign the furthest room?

Positives: I chose Vernon Lodge for its proximity to the Performing Arts Centre. It was a convenient location

Negatives: I didn’t realize there was an enclosed pool & atrium at its core. My room had no outside window only a patio window that opened to the access walkway to the pool. Consequently the room was overly warm (25 degrees), very stuffy & humid. The air conditioner was very loud and insufficient to cool the room.

Positives: The hotel was pet friendly which can be hard to find. The hotel looked newly renovated on the inside and the staff was wonderful. To our surprise, there was a very unique resort/atrium style restaurant in the pool area. The food was WONDERFUL as was our server. The food was very high quality fine dining which was unexpected. I would go back just to eat! The beds were clean and cozy and the rooms very large. Overall, wonderful stay.
