Positives:
They gave us a beautiful room on the 16th floor. It had a beautiful view of the city. We enjoyed our walk thru the skywalks & underground corridors. Great Time!
Negatives:
Two issues:(1) At 6pm, we ran water for 5+ minutes to get it hot enough to shower. (2) When room temp exceeded 75 F, we tried to turn heat lower. No luck. A/C wouldn't work either. Turned it all off & used a fan that was in a closet. We'd do it all again!

Staff and quality of food in the dining room were excellent. The only problem was VERY LONG waits- may be only one chef cooking.
Negatives:
The hotel is dated and old and should be torn down. There was NO heat in our first room and at 11:00 pm an engineer gave us a small portable heater. We were moved to a "suite" the next day which took time to repack, etc. For the four days we were there the hotel furnace never worked properly. There was also a smell of mold as you got off of the elevator on our floor. Elevators were in need of replacement- dropped quickly, did not meet the floor when exiting them- you had to be careful to step up off of them. Our first room had no robes (we requested them to keep warm after we realized this) and the radiator in our room had thick dust on the slats- never cleaned. The positives are the pool- very comfortable and the gym was well equipped. We have stayed at many Fairmonts in Canada, Bermuda and the U.S. and this hotel is not what we expected. It is old and dated in every way and should be rebuilt. I would not recommend it.
