The counter staff were pleasant. There is a supermarket within walking distance and the historic town centre is close by.
Negatives:
We booked a ground floor room through booking.com but when we got there were told we were upstairs. I was able to insist on a ground floor. I was told we should go direct through them next time. Presumably they didn't read the request/comment that was part of our application.
There were only four tables at breakfast and they could have all done with cleaning. The breakfast was one of the worst ever. The waffles were the best food offered. When they were unwrapped the blueberry muffins were sticky. But the burritos were awful. If it ingredients hadn't been written on the wrapper it would have been impossible to guess what they were made from. The taste was not something we repeated the next day, although some others seemed to find them palatable.

Nice clean room. Quiet but the place was more than half empty.
Negatives:
Front desk not very pleasant. Card pass for my room did not work and when I returned to reception to have it re-keyed she acted like I was annoying her and it was my fault. Never did work properly during my stay. Had to stand there for a few minutes every time before I could get in my room. Very annoying.

toilet ran at odd hours all the time. Leaky seal. Reported this when we stayed there in May. Same room as then. Not fixed as yet.
