Positives: The property is nice and the rooms are great. The breakfast is good but it’s the same thing every day, they need to change it up.
Negatives: I called the day before to let them know I was at another hotel for a work event and had to check out at 11 and couldn’t check in there until 3, they told me to call when I was headed that way and they would try to get our rooms ready. I did that and they made us sit for 5 hours. At that point I pitched a fit, this was 4 pm and still no room. I asked to see the manager and instead of her coming out, they gave us different rooms, all I could think is why didn’t they do that in the first place?? Not impressed with the manager. If housekeeping is still cleaning rooms at 4, maybe the manager needs to be pitching in.

Positives: There are several things I liked about the hotel. To start with, the location is excellent! Friendship Heights metro station sits right below the hotel, and there is also Chevy Chase Pavilion bus station just across the road. So going up and about is really not an issue here. The room itself was excellent in terms of facilities and general care, and I appreciated the diversity of options on the Cable TV. Another thing I really liked was the happy hour initiative at the Willies Bar, where each hotel guest gets tickets for two free drinks each day between 5.30pm and 8.00pm - a really great initiative! The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful - I had some delivery items from Amazon that arrived after I had checked out and the hotel was able to keep them for me. That I liked. So overall, I have nothing but praise for this hotel and will definitely stay there again next time I'm in DC.
Negatives: I honestly cannot think of anything!

Positives: The location was perfect for our family. It’s a beautiful area although it had changed a bit since we lived there years ago. Several businesses left the area, but some wonderful restaurants and a few main name shops remain within walking distance as well as the metro and bus service. The hotel was quiet and we had a comfortable stay in our spacious, clean and well stocked room. The bathroom was clean and water pressure in the shower was great. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: The included breakfast was decent but you have to receive tickets upon check in to turn in when you enter the breakfast area and while it looks like a buffet style, it is not self serve but rather served to you. Also, no to-go cups available for a coffee or tea if you’re on the run.

Quiet and comfortable family stay...

Positives: Loved the location. Great proximity to the Metro and really easy to get around. Nice area and felt very safe walking around.
Negatives: Beds were old and very squeaky and not super comfortable. Had trouble with outlets not working so phones didn’t charge. Spoke with front desk and they were unable to have fixed while we were there.

Positives: I appreciate the hospitality that the staff provided for me during my stay. Every single staff member from the front desk receptionist, to the cleaning staff, to the staff during breakfast and the after hours receptionist. I do also appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the accessibility to all the attractions within a short distance of the hotel. Thanks again !

Positives: The suites are spacious and the location was great. Bloomingdale’s is across the street & the Cheesecake Factory is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Maggiano’s is located literally around the corner (you can have Maggiano’s delivered to your room for FREE). The Metro/train station is located just an elevator ride below the hotel. Stores, shopping, transportation, and restaurants are conveniently located within 5mins!! The housekeeper we had was great as well.
Negatives: The breakfast was subpar. The pancakes were cold & hard. The bacon was too hard & dry. The sausage & breakfast potatoes were overcooked. I thought I was saving booking a hotel that included breakfast but I just ended up spending more getting breakfast elsewhere. You get 2 free drinks & beer at the hotel bar, but it closes at 730p. If you are traveling & site seeing around DC, by the time you get back to the hotel you’ve missed out on your free drink.
