Positives:
The pool was open late.
Negatives:
Mold in the bathroom, not as clean as I'd like in general. no towels by the pool available our entire stay. Breakfast was ok, but stopped serving very early IMO.

Positives:
I liked that it has an indoor pool and hot tub. Location is very convenient.
Negatives:
The parking lot that we had to park in by our room was extremely small and very tight fit. Also, the breakfast buffet/bar had bare minimum selects on food and juice to pick from, and the vending machines were practically empty

Not much for a kid...
Positives:
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great breakfast buffet. Way better than buffets in most hotels
Negatives:
The shower was in poor shape and for $390 a night i don’t understand how it could be that disappointing. The room was nice but could be better. All in all i felt the price was not at all worth what we received.

Overpriced and disappointing

Superb
Positives:
The hotel is pretty. We knew it was not in the heart of Coeur d’Alene, but right up the street, so that was just fine. The price is better for that reason. The beds were comfy, we slept good. A/c worked great. Fabulous breakfast. We especially enjoyed the omelettes made to order! Large selection of fruit, potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, toasts, yogurts, oatmeal, juice.
They originally had us in a room on the ground floor right next to the parking lot. We didn’t like that. I prefer the second floor. You have to walk further to get back to your room, but there is less noise there and better for sleeping.
The pool area was nice, semi warm room and warm enough pool to swim in…would have like a bit warmer, but it was still nice. Hot tub was actually hot.
Their salad bar looked good, lots of options if you can eat whatever without allergies. Wished there was items marked as gluten free so I would know what I could choose. (Most places don’t do that either, I’m just always hoping they would).
I also really liked that they have a pull out clothes drying line above the bathtub. Perfect for hanging our swimsuits on to dry after swimming.
Negatives:
To be honest, we were a little frustrated with our stay here. It looked like it was going to be really good. Bathroom set up was really hard with 4 people. Would have been fine for 1-2 people. Horrible for 4 people. The only mirror with lighting and plugs is in the bathroom. Which is being used frequently to shower or go to the bathroom. Most hotels I stay at have the mirror and sometimes sink outside the shower toilet area for this reason. They do have a long mirror outside the bathroom, but it has such poor lighting that you can’t see anything; and no where to put anything down on except for the floor. Plus there is no outlet there. So now if you want to blow dry your hair while someone else is showing, you have to use the night stand or the desk and have no mirror.
They could easily improve this by putting a mirror at the desk area, having a plug there and having good lighting by adding a second lamp. Also by having a light by the full length mirror with outlet.
I also found it difficult to find the pool without the hotel map. They don’t mark which way to turn to go to the pool until you are almost at the pool. It seemed really dumb to not include that on all the signs!
Our other issue was, since they switched us to the second floor, our key to the hotel didn’t work like they should. We had to go back and get a new key two nights in a row! Which was really frustrating. We just got back from riding the Hiawatha bike trail. We were tired, extremely dirty, and hungry. We went up to our rooms with our hands full of stuff, and our key didn’t work. My husband had to go to the front desk, which is a ways away all dirty to get another key. The next evening we got back to our hotel after walking the whole town and playing at the beach in our swimsuits, our arms are all full and exhausted and our key didn’t work!! We had to ask for compensation of a free dinner. Crazy since we paid $1,050 for 3 nights. I like best western hotels, this one needs some improvements.
