Positives: We didn't end up staying overnight even though we had reserved four nights, but the location was good. It was a basic hotel for the amount of money charged, but due to poor treatment by the General Manager and circumstances of not accommodating us with the handicap-accessible room we had reserved through booking.com, we chose to go elsewhere.
Negatives: Beware of the woman who calls herself the General Manager of this hotel, because she does not care at all about being kind and compassionate to others. My mother is mobility challenged and uses a walker, and we were given a regular room rather than the handicap-accessible one that I had reserved for four nights, which we didn't discover until we stepped into the room. The toilet was very low with no grab bars, and the shower had a tall edge to step over, also with no grab bars in or around it, which made the bathroom unsafe for my mom to be able to use. I requested a refund and was refused. I requested that we be moved into the handicap room the following day since the occupant had only reserved it up until the next day and was refused. I said that I would like to check out early and receive a partial refund and was refused. The General Manager blamed me for booking the room on booking.com, saying that this was what I chose even though I had evidence otherwise. She refused to take any accountability for giving us a room which was not what we had reserved. When I said that it was unsafe for us to stay there because my mom could fall, she told us to leave the hotel (it was nearing midnight on New Years Eve and we had been there less than an hour at that point). I handled the situation as gracefully and Godly as possible, and I tearfully pleaded with her after our long day of travel. Her response was to yell at me to leave the premises. She demanded that the man who had checked us in was to call the police and have us forcibly removed if we didn't leave the hotel within 15 minutes. We left and never returned. No one should be treated this way, especially people who have disabilities and have no other choice of being able to safely use the bathroom. The General Manager of this hotel has soured our experience to the extent that we will not be staying at a Quality Inn & Suites ever again, and she should be removed from any future hospitality position.

Positives: The staff were courteous and professional. This is not a five star hotel which is why I choose to stay at this motel chain. It's a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that feels like real life. I'm a union ironworker and I've stayed in many hotels/motels during my career. I've stayed in many quality inn and suites for years across this country. I won't be an ironworker for much longer because I'm getting too old but whenever I'm on the road in my retirement years and I need a place to stay I will continue to find a quality inn and suites when I need a room. I have never taken the time to fill out one of these surveys before but this one is important to me. From the beautiful young lady at the front desk to the maintenance guy Mike with whom I had a few conversations with during my week stay I was impressed with the way these hard working people treated me. The breakfast was good as was the coffee. I hope these folks get the positive feedback they so richly deserve because these are the people who keep this business in business. I will call Mike in a few weeks to check and see if he and his co-workers have been contacted by the upper management regarding the compliments I have shared in this survey
Negatives: There was only one thing that made me feel a bit uncomfortable during my stay. The first night I arrived I was checked in by an African American man. I make it a habit to ask people I'm dealing with what their name is if they are not wearing a name badge. When I asked this man what his name is he told me that he doesn't give out that information due to company policy. This is not something that got me upset in fact I thought this man might have a life challenge that caused him to be a bit different in his social graces. The only reason that I mentioned it in this section is to point out even he was polite. The fact is he was very focused on the job at hand and got me check in quickly.

Positives: The bed was comfortable and the heat unit was really quiet from other hotels that I have stayed in. The staff that I did have contact with were simply amazing!
Negatives: The cleaning staff was lacking. I filled out the hanger for the cleaning staff and nothing was done including no linens. The next day when cleaning staff did come in the bathroom sink hadn't been clean and the floors weren't swept. I got a broom and did it myself.

Positives: The breakfast provided was very good. A good variety. And the breakfast attendant was very attentive to what needed replenishment. The one morning I had a waffle but notified the attendant I thought the batter had gone bad, it tasted sour. He immediately removed the batter supply. Returned later, stated they wash out the container and filled it with new batter. A few days later I tried the waffle again...it was very good. Great waffles!
Negatives: The only negative experience was upon checking in on Thursday, the young woman was very unfriendly, hardly looked at us, No greeting at all. She appeared to wish she was somewhere else.

Negatives: Discovered we had reserved a room with just one bed. To change to a room with two beds I was charged an extra $35.00. This is wrong. Disappointed that our beds were not made after the first night.
