Positives:
The location was great. Housekeeping staff were friendly and everything was clean. Inside the building there is a Starbucks, candy store, and gift shop. The hotel also has a coffee shop, restaurant, and bar.
Negatives:
The Front desk staff were not very friendly. The hotel charges an amenity fee of $25 per room per day but gives you credits for the spa, food, and laundry service. However, some of the amenities were not available during my stay so I had to pay the fee without getting the benefits.

I love The Palmer House!
Positives:
Comfy beds, covered heated parking, place is stunning, decent food, nice staff.
Negatives:
Plugs were all very loose in entire room, view was awful of a back alley and 13 floors up in disabled room. 13 floors up? Ok wheelchair people good luck getting down in a fire. Lots of empty shops inside building, No coffee machines in room and no free coffee in lobby. Train was unreal at night shaking the room and very loud no way to avoid it

Positives:
Not much. Centrally located.
Negatives:
The elevators were always full and very slow. Wait time for breakfast was an hour and twenty minutes. Walls were very thin and I heard the people next door having relations.

Positives:
The Tuba Christmas concert was really about it.
Negatives:
We stayed here 2 years ago, big difference this time. We had to pay $40 just to have a microwave in our room. They did bring it up after 1st request....but still called us 4x and texted 2x to make sure we got it.......Kicker....they still brought up a 2nd one. My husband had to argue with that gentleman that we indeed did get one already. Had to ask 3x for t.p. only 1/2 roll in br when we got here. No one knows what the other person is doing. Husband was down waiting for a delivery we placed with CVS. He didn't have his phone, but I needed to tell him the delivery driver had car issues. I called guest services, only button marked on the phone for guest services, and the guy who answered informed me they couldn't go tell my husband to come back to room, who was just across the front desk where deliveries are left, cuz they don't do that. I'd have to walk down there. (We were on 16th floor and I have a very bad knee) So I did. The temperature in the room..... We froze cuz at 69 it was freezing at 70 we were sweating bullets!! Tablets come in room, useless....
So, no microwave, no coffee pot, no toilet paper in rooms. Had a fridge, with no shelves. Just very very unhappy. The Hampton Inn a couple blocks away would have been much much cheaper!!!! I don't recommend Palmer House. We did order breakfast the first morning to be brought up to the room. It arrived nice and hot, what little portions you got. It was good, but EXPENSIVE!!!!! NOT A RECOMMENDED PLACE TO GO!!!!
