The St. Clair Hotel - Magnificent Mile

Negatives: The temperature in our room was too warm and difficult to control. The elevators are small and slow.

Negatives: Once I got there I was told they did not have any room left!

Negatives: That don’t clean your room every day, you need to requests in advance

Negatives: The parking. There’s a valert but it’s too expensive. I paid twice. The restroom is too small and no where to dirty and clean clothes

Negatives: Felt dirty and generally unclean! By night 3, I was ready to move to a different hotel (and ultimately followed through with that) because the feeling of grossness was overwhelming. The sheets didn't fit properly (which is an issue in and of itself), exposing the mattress protector, which seemed to have someone's disgusting boogers on it. The sheets were very wrinkly, which made they seem used/not totally clean. They also had a mild unpleasant scent (not body odor or anything like that, but just unpleasant) which made them feel kind of icky. Our first set of sheets (we had our room cleaned/sheets changed once, on day 3, not that it really helped) had what seemed like a highlighter stain on it. Definitely time to change throw them out and buy new ones. There were strands of (someone else's) hair on the bathroom walls. Somehow two Asian lady beetles managed to get into the bathroom. No heating in bathroom.

Negatives: The heating and air-conditioning machine is a bit old and stays inside the room, so it is noisy. I had to use earplugs to sleep comfortably, otherwise I would wake up every time it turned on again. It does not have a breakfast included, but it does have a café at the ground floor that smells amazing.

Negatives: Nothing!

Negatives: Elevator was broken. Tub was clogged and bathroom wS clogged staff was rude. Room smell.

Negatives: Elevator had linen attendant always pressing each individual button up 12plus floors and each elevator button down 12plus floors. I traveled with him in elevator 4 times in 4 days of stays holding up 30 plus sets of sheets each time just to get to the lobby 18 minutes later each time. Late to Chicago Symphony dec 22. Late to Christmas carol at Goodman Theater Dec 23. At checkout 20 plus people scanning badges on Dec 26 to checkin. Delayed my checkout 25 minutes and late to Ohare so scrambled to get on plane.

Negatives: Elevators were not in proper working condition, the bedroom window had a fairly large gap which although had a previous failed attempt at repair made for a LARGE amount of street noise.

Negatives: No complaints! This is more than a great value- it's an exceptional experience. Will be staying again!
