Motel 6 Naperville

Negatives: After 2 days and 2 nights on Amtrak coming from San Francisco we were looking forward to a shower and arrived at 2:20 pm in the hotel as Amtrak was on time. Official check in starts at 3 pm. The lady at the reception informed us that we either would have to wait until 3 pm or she would have to charge us an additional 10 Dollar fee for the early check in (40 mins!). The request to use at least a toilet until 3 pm was also denied by her, the hotel would not have any toilets outside of the rooms. When we finally checked in at 3pm, a by far more friendly lady meanwhile worked at the reception and told us that the 10 Dollar fee could have been very easily waived by her colleague. She was really surprised that this did not happen and about the behavior of her colleague. My personal impression is that lady nr one was... let's say "too busy" to check us in. In 2.5 months of traveling all over the US this was the first time I was asked for extra money for an early check in, what a weird policy of this hotel! 10 bugs for 40 mins. It was my second stay in the motel 6 in Naperville. During our first stay about a year ago, we had very loud neighbors - that can happen in every hotel and is not the fault of the hotel, but after informing the reception after midnight they simply did not do anything. After todays experience this is for sure our last stay. Not only in the motel 6 in Naperville, but in all motels of the chain. I'm done with them.
