Positives:
Our review is about booking.com, we did not stay, because the Hampton Inn did not have any hot water or any idea of when the water would be fixed, the desk staff gave us the option of not having to stay and told us we would not be charged. Booking.com took the money out of our account on 09/16/24 in the amount of $225.58 and we are requesting a refund because we had to find other more expensive accommodations.
Negatives:
The way there is no way to speak to a live person at booking.com. We need our money back, we feel like someone stole our money and there is no one to speak to about our concerns

I booked at this property through Booking.com and I called them to make sure that I could check in since it was after midnight. I didn’t know how that worked. She said I couldn’t check in until 3 PM since I booked it after midnight on the phone. On the website, I put my card information in so I went to the physical location and spoke to the lady at the front desk, I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t get charged bc I put pay at location and also put my card information in, due to her telling me I was unable to check in and that nothing had even came through to her systems and if it did she would cancel it and I wouldn’t be charged. So instead, I took an Uber all the way home to Terre Haute, Indiana, and then got charged with this payment later. Booking.com customer service told me that they would take care of it if the hotel wouldn’t and now I’m being told to call the hotel and the hotel staff told me I was basically lying. And I have gotten zero response back from Booking.com. The staff here are rude and the night shift lady obviously lies and nothing is done to fix it. So thank you for taking money from my child’s mouth when this was not my mistake.

Never stayed bc of staff...
Positives:
Room was clean, appeared freshly renovated, nicely decorated and appointed.
Negatives:
No internet, no hot water for showers in the morning, dog barking down the hall, hallways stunk and were dirty, hallway carpet soiled, hallway walls and doors were scuffed up, kids up and down the hall in their pajamas, access to rooms were not secured. Anyone could come in the front vestibule, turn right and go up the stairwell to the upper level rooms with no keyboard.
The clerk at the front check-in said, sorry hotel construction/renovation issues.
Worst experience ever in a Hampton Inn.

The staff was excellent. Esha was helpful, friendly and kind. Breakfast was good The hallways and doors look terrible but the interior of the room was nice. Very good price.
