Positives: The hotel was in an excellent location to walk around Boston. It is literally just minutes away from all the action. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Negatives: The room was beautiful, but there was no place to sit except at the desk.

Positives: I asked for a small gift for my son's graduation be left in his adjoining room . Unbeknownst to me they upgraded the graduate to a room with a king sized bed ! My 6'3 new Grad was ecstatic !
Negatives: No- but the type of trip selections do not apply . My trip was family with young adult children and two near seniors .

Positives: Everything about the staff and service is excellent and what I would expect of a four star hotel.
Negatives: This is the second time that I've stayed at the hotel where there was an awful smell of raw sewage in the room. When I walked into the room, the window was open which told me they're aware of the issue but still selling the rooms, which is inexcusable.

Negatives: The corner room (#389) was drafty and cold. The thermostat is located adjacent to the heat vent. This, along with drafty windows, left us very uncomfortable. The absence of a fridge was handled by placing items near the window which chilled them nicely.

Positives: Perfect location; responsive and attentive staff; special treatment on gold room status. Lounge in particular as good as any we have experienced. Definitely meets standard as a luxury hotel. Fifth stay at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.
