Negatives: We were never informed that there was an extra pet charge as the hotel listed "dog friendly" so we reserved a pet friendly room only to be charged an extra $40 for the night, plus taxes plus room charge. Told the clerk that it was never published about the extra dog charge of $40. Our vet doesn't even charge that much for a 1 night stay & our pet is small. If we would have known about the extra charge, then we would have made different arrangements

Positives: It was a busy weekend (parents weekend for MSU) and the price was right for our last minute trip. The area the hotel is in is nice and offers shopping and food options. The room was clean and a great size. Breakfast was included and sufficient.
Negatives: The hotel is run down. There are lots of rooms that seem to be abandoned or in complete disrepair, sometimes it felt a little scary walking through the hallway. The pet relief area is also a bit of a hike and inconvenient.
