The hotel is very rundown. The elevator has the fireman instructions secured with duct tape. There was trash in the halls on the way to the room. When we got in the room, we only stayed 10 minutes before we left. The bathroom had water coming in from the ceiling into a very dirty tub. The towels were not 100% white, but a mixture of brown and beige and white. The bed we didn’t lay in it, but looked at it. It was very lumpy and old mattress with two thin sheets for covers. The original furnishings from whenever this hotel was bought are still being used with stains on everything including the lamp shades. The smoke detector was hanging by a single wire in the middle of the room.
My wife actually felt scared to stay in the room for fear of bugs that we couldn’t see yet.
As we were leaving and putting the key on the front desk, 10 minutes after arriving, we told the desk clerk that the room was disgusting. She was busy with others so we left and slept in our car outside in 41° at another location.

The staff was fantastic except one, the placing was great, nothing was super far. For 13 nights it was decent

No here comes the bad part, I tried to cancel my room, because I ended up staying with my girlfriend's family, was told I wasn't able to check out early at the counter, because I had booked through, in the desk clerks words "Expedia" which I knew already was false because I went through Booking.com, second, I've stayed at places that I had to cancel or what ever due to other reasons and have had never been told this. Red flag #1. Second the bed I had didn't have an actual comforter, just the duvet, which was fine for me because I don't like having an overly massive blanket. However the hallway on the second floor to my room had a very off smell and the first night I was there, I could clearly see leaking and drops on the floor. The room had a bit of an odor, like overly sanitized and old moth balls, which clearly the building is old and was slowly, but surely being worked on, the office chair in my room was broken and the TV never worked, which I didn't care about because I literally only used the room to sleep. Other than those minor instances and the one singular staff member, the room was decent for the prince for 13 days and the rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when asked for suggestions for food and activities. Oh just some food for thought, check the AC units because I would set mine at 68 and would come back that night and it would be at 60. So either faulty temp switch, or ghost, which ever sounds better

There is not one thing to like about the property.
Negatives:
The rooms were somewhat clean, but old. Stains on everything from the walls, to the lampshades to the tub. We were so disgusted and there was no place to move nearby. We woke up early to leave, didn’t even bother showering because we were so disgusted by the bathtub/shower.
