Hotel was advertised as having continental breakfast, and breakfast was not being served.
We're relatively simple customers - we don't ask for much or expect anything crazy, but the particular front desk staff member that helped us on the two visits to the front desk made it feel like a very big deal that she was helping us. We checked in after a long drive and she made it seem like we were putting her out just to be arriving and checking in at 10:00pm. Then when I asked for one more thing the following day she made it seem like I was really putting her out, and she had to finish the task at hand before she could help me. I sought help with 2 things - checking in, and getting extra soap, and was made to feel like I was ridiculous.
I never complained about any of the issues like the dirty room with broken lamp shades, fraying/ripping towels, dirty walls with hair on them.
There was one very kind front desk worker but she was busy helping someone else.
It seems this is a hotel that is struggling to stay afloat - understaffed and struggling to keep up with the demands. I'm sure the worker that made me feel guilty was simply overworked, but it would be nice to not feel bad for arriving at 10:00pm, and it shouldn't be such a big deal to ask for extra shampoo, when I'm tolerating dirty facilities and a failure to deliver the amenities advertised.
I can sympathize with the struggles of being understaffed, however, I won't be staying here again.

I spent far too much time and effort trying to modify my reservation. The staff were not helpful, not well informed, and they continued to pass the buck to someone else or make excuses for not knowing how to handle the situation, such as a new computer system, or they needed to talk to their manager. Sometimes there was no one at the front desk,
There was not regular room service, no new towels or trash removal, and the back entry door mag key often did not work. The back side of the motel outside is littered with trash.
