Negatives: Clean Motel fire the Manager Very Bad place

Negatives: I was looking forward to using the hot tub but the tub was broken.

Negatives: The full amount was charged twice to my credit card, which I sincerely hope will be resolved within a few days.

Negatives: After checking into the hotel on 11/1/24 around 9:30pm I went to the room and was ready to relax after traveling from Colorado to Carlsbad. I watched some tv and about 3 hours or so later I seen something crawling on the other bed. I realized it was a bedbug. I was too scared to pull the blankets off of the bed to check for more bugs. So I put a coffee cup on top of the bug so I could prove to staff what I had just seen (after taking photos of the bed bug) I immediately shook off my belongings and went straight to the front desk. This time it was a different guy and I was told he wouldn’t be able to refund me as it’s 1:30am and no manager on duty, which is understandable. So I had to find a different hotel ant 1:30am and pay all over again. I had to throw my clothes that were in my backpack due to the fear of a bedbug coming home with me. So at 8:30am on 11/2/24 I called Days Inn and spoke to Elva about what had happened 8 hours prior. She was the worst! She kept talking over me, wouldn’t let me speak, rude as can be. I told her that I wanted a refund for the 2 nights I booked and paid for and she said it would take 5 days or so. I told her that was unacceptable and she simply told me “well that’s how refunds work” Alva acted like I was asking her to give me a refund out of her own pocket. After not getting any help from her and not being able to communicate with her because her lack of “Customer service” I hung up on her and decided I would just go into Days Inn later after work to speak to a manager. Elva is the worst at her job! Definitely shouldn’t be interacting with customers due to her awful behavior and horrible customer service.

Negatives: Carpet seemed a little bit dirty

Negatives: Don’t think room/bathroom had been vacuumed and/or mopped in days. Light fixture over bathroom sink didn’t work. Bathroom bulbs went out during our 2 day stay. And I’m pretty sure cheapest bulbs were used through out room as even with lights on it was dark. Tv didn’t work and we were told housekeeping would be notified. Guess they were notified but didn’t get fixed. Room was muggy but guess it was better than being too cold/hot. Could’ve dealt w all this a lot better had we not had to pay as much as we did for the room.

Negatives: The breakfast bar was very sparse and the rooms smaller than expected but we made the best of it.

Negatives: The bed was hard, and It made a lot of noise everything we moved. We rented 3 rooms and all of the beds made alot of noise. It was more lkme the mattresses.

Negatives: Upkeep and maintenance needs to be done. 3rd time we have stayed and showing signs of neglect. Will probably not go back there. Staff friendly.

Negatives: outlets didn’t all work and bathroom light was burnt out, beds were uncomfortable

Negatives: Old and dirty. Mattress was extremely uncomfortable.
