Staff was very accommodating and prompt when we needed to change rooms due to cleanliness.
Negatives:
We stayed in a queen suite that we paid a lot of money for and it was filthy!!!! The next day we asked for it to be cleaned while we were out and it was not. I asked to be moved to another room and the staff immediately moved us to another room. It was fine but I am surprised for such an upscale hotel that it was not cleaner. Needs a deep clean.

Room was spacious as to be expected for a king’s suite.
Nice shower and bathtub.
Negatives:
We had been looking into several hotels and decided on the Metropolitan for a nice weekend after a very long travel, to combine work and leisure. Unfortunately the hotel was very disappointing.
The suite was noisy, something was dripping in the bathroom all the time. The room was next to the rooftop on the adjacent building with some noisy equipment on the roof.
But what was really disappointing was the service.
You would think when you booked a 5 * hotel that coast 5-600$ per night that there would be decent service.
We had a long day, came back to the hotel at 5 pm to find the room not clean, no new towel or amenities.
I called the reception and was told the would fix this. Noone came and at 6 pm, I called again and was told housekeeping was gone for the day. I then asked for clean towels and was told they would bring some. It didn’t arrive. I had to call for the 4 th time the next morning to get towels before shower. I had also asked for a rope and slippers the first day but that was not delivered either. When I complained about this, they just said sorry. I would perhaps expect this in a 1-2* hotel
