Red Roof Inn Cleveland - Medina

Positives: At under $70 the room was a decent value when just looking for a place to stay for the night. It was only a couple minutes off Rt71 and pretty easy to find and get to, on a small dead end st. I was there on a Thursday night, there was hardly anyone else staying there, so it was quiet. A couple other hotels next-door/nearby and a handful of restaurants. It felt like a fairly safe area. No shady characters or activities going on. The main priorities for me are NO BUGS, reasonably clean, no cig smell, and bed reasonably comfortable (not hard as a board). This place passed all those tests. It was called a "Deluxe Queen room". It was a decent value but certainly not "Deluxe" in any way. Pretty typical of many Red Roofs in my exp. As would be expected the room is very small & the bathroom even smaller. It's helpful that the vanity is outside the bathroom, especially if two people were staying in room. Things were reasonably clean and there was no filth (so long as you didn't look behind or under things). No disgusting stains on carpet, bed, sheets etc. I didn'ft detect any cigarette smell, a bit of a cleaning agent smell but nothing overpowering. The sink drain was slow but eventually went down. Bathtub drain worked fine. Hot water seemed adequate but there were very few other people staying there at the time, so no issue would have been expected under those conditions. The vanity was a countertop outside the bathroom with a raised sink box sitting on top with a single person mirror. The bed was relatively comfortable, just slightly on the stiff side but acceptable and much better than some places I've stayed, Sheets/comforter all looked & smelled clean. The room had a small fridge, small micro, and TINY angled desk, just barely large enough to have a laptop on, but nothing else along with it. While nothing was "deluxe" or exceptional, the room was relatively clean, comfortable & acceptable.

Positives: Convenient location which was also quite quiet - easy to check in and check out and the room was clean with all the facilities we required. We needed two rooms and were give two next to each other.

Positives: Reasonable pricing, good locationd, clean room, well lit parking lotd

Positives: Facility was clean and felt safe. Facility could use an upgrade with the rooms and electronics, ie, plug ins for phone and computers. Bathrooms could use an upgrade as well. General upgrade for a more modern look.
