Residence Inn by Marriott Stillwater

Negatives: No room service after I asked, so by the last day we ran out of most things.

Negatives: We had to switch rooms because our duvet had a noticeable stain that looked like dried blood (see attached picture). When we contacted the front desk, they only provided a thin blanket as a replacement. We insisted on moving to a new room, but unfortunately, the cleanliness of the second room was also below our expectations (see the coffee maker). The pool was cold and appeared not constantly maintained. Additionally, despite paying the full amount for our stay through Booking.com, we were double-charged by the property at checkout. When we disputed the charge, Brittany at the front desk was unprofessional, raising her voice and insisting there was no double charge, even though my cards clearly showed the extra charges. No invoice was provided to us when we checked out either. I travelled all around the world for work, and I’d say this is one of the worst places I’ve been.

Negatives: Of the 11 days we were there, housekeeping came one time. We had to keep asking for clean towels and toilet paper and to have our trash cans emptied.

Negatives: I have stayed here many times and everything has always been great. This time, I paid a much higher price because it was graduation time and the air cone ever worked right. The staff could care less. Maintenance man was not there after 6 pm and the desk person said she’d leave the manager a note! Maintenance man came the next day & didn’t fix the problem. I told them when I checked out about the air issue and the woman said, “thank you for letting us know.” She definitely had no intention of offering me anything. This was a 2-bedroom unit…not cheap. When we left the property, we noticed several rooms had a/c units in the windows. I think this is a real issue that no one is addressing. I’m here to tell you…Oklahoma is very hot and humid. Air conditioning is a must!!

Negatives: Room was not clean. There were ants in the room and it was very dusty on the furniture. We let the front desk know in the morning before we left for the day but nothing had been done when we returned around 3 pm and then we had to speak to the front desk again at that time. 3 people came to spray the ants and change our sheets but the room was not dusted. Overall, not only did our room just feel and look dingy but the hotel felt the same way.
