Negatives:
Some staff are rude.

Passable
Positives:
Location is great, close to the Reading Terminal and other destinations like Love Park. The staff draws a random customers' name each day and puts it on a paper sign with "VIP Guest of the Day" at the front desk and in the elevators. It was a pleasant surprise to see my name was drawn for the night we arrived with a small treat bag after a long day of travelling.

Very good
Positives:
Room was modern and a good location.
Negatives:
We booked a king room but when checking in were told there were only Queen rooms left. We booked more than 7 months early, and this is a major international hotel chain with sophisticated booking systems. There is no excuse for not having the room we booked. I heard other groups at check in being told the same. I can only assume that our king rooms were given to people the hotel felt were more important than us.
Room cleaning was supposed to be every other day. Our room was not cleaned. When we went to get new towels ourselves we were told they were 3 members of house keeping staff down. It'd only have taken a couple of minutes for someone to check and change amenities though and this would have gone a long way. We raised this and our name was taken but we never heard back from a manager.
When getting towels it was at this point we found out the water for the hotel was turned off due to a repair being needed. At no point when coming back into the hotel had anyone made an effort to communicate this. There were then 3 hours of poor communication from the hotel while water was restored. I get this was an emergency situation but communication was poorly handled. At one point we were told water was back, but it wasn't. We were thirsty and were given 2 tiny bottles of water. I think staff should have been freely handing these out more willingly.
Breakfast is basic and is on disposable plates with plastic cutlery. This is terrible for the planet and the hotel should focus on improving its eco credentials.
Reception was always incredibly slow. It took 10+ minutes to check each group in. There was only 1 staff member. We waited 30 minutes to be seen. This needs making much more efficient. I'm surprised this hotel doesn't have a set script to follow to speed this up.
We raised all of our grievances with the hotel manager at checkout. They said they couldn't compensate directly as we'd booked through booking.

Disappointing, wouldn't recommend
Positives:
The hotel is very well located, within walking distance of the most important and notable points of the city. The room was very large and spacious, with a refrigerator and microwave, so it had all the comforts. The bathroom was also large, clean and very nice.
Negatives:
What I didn't like about the hotel was the way the staff treated me. When I checked in, they didn't tell me what breakfast times were and they didn't even tell me which floor my room was on. On the other hand, during the afternoon of one of my stay there was no water, and when it came back on, it was brown, with the consequent risks that this entails. I don't think that's acceptable for a Hilton hotel.

Bad
Positives:
the hotel was centrally located and the breakfast room staff were lovely
Negatives:
We had several very small issues which we raised several times that were not addressed, and the room was not cleaned once during our 5 day 4 night stay. ( on the last day they offered to service the room at 4pm after we had returned for the day)
