Positives:
I love the hotel design- it feels elevated and comfortable. The staff have also been very kind and responsive in my experience. The beds are comfortable, the check-in/check-out process is super easy, and the lobby is a great place to hang out and get some work done. I've also been pleased with how quiet and peaceful the property is every time I've stayed here. Great location, too.
Negatives:
Parts of the room felt a bit worn and tired. There were some noticeable stains on the carpet and duvet, and a few spots of what looked like mold in the shower between the tiles. The hair dryer in the bathroom was also tired and the back kept popping off. Nothing beyond what I've seen in other hotel chains, but for a property of this caliber I'd expect a bit more attention to detail.

Positives:
I loved the size of my room, comfortable bedding, and for the most part enjoyed my stay. I LOVED the books in the lobby area and the selection of books in my room. The hotel is clean, bathe in bright natural light, and boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Negatives:
What I found disappointing was the fact that my room did not have a mini refrigerator nor did I have direct access to ice. Both amenities were important to my comfort during my stay because I traveled to Philadelphia for the Philly Marathon and needed access to ice for recovery and a refrigerator for pre and post race prep and recovery. As you may imagine, not everyone walks away from running 26.2 miles without some degree of soreness or aches and pains. Having access to ice without having to go downstairs to the restaurant each and every time to request ice lends to a better hotel stay than having the bartender question your request for a bucket of ice. Trust me, this is not how you want to expend your post race energy.

Positives:
A very well organized hotel maintaining simplicity and value for its customers. Great location especially if you have to move around Penn's campus and even Philly. A variety of extra space in every aspect!

Positives:
Proximity to 30th Street Station made this a great location both coming and going, especially when I had to catch an early train on check-out day. The nearby grocery and convenience stores made it easy to pick up a satisfying, healthy meal. Loved the enormous desk in my room, which gave me plenty of room to spread out my electronics (and meals), and the large adjustable desk lamp was very practical. My room had a great view of the city skyline and a nice shower. The staff was friendly and informative. I didn't have time to check out the facilities on this trip, but the library/lounge in the library looked very attractive. I was only here for an overnight, but I think I would have really enjoyed coming back to this room at the end of a long day running around the city.
Negatives:
My room was chilly near the window, where the desk was situated; even when I turned the heat up, it was still cold there. Since I liked sitting at the desk to work, eat, play around on my computer, etc., that was a little unfortunate! (I should note that I'm more cold-sensitive than most people, and there was an extra blanket in the closet, which did help.) I also had to deal with noise from a room across the hall: a dog barking and howling. I like pet-friendly hotels, and you certainly can't blame a dog for being a dog - but since I did need to wake up early the next day, it was a little stressful, and I really wasn't expecting noise to be an issue here.

Location perfectly met my needs,...
Positives:
Check in was straight forward. The public parking was economical and half a block away. The room was practically a suite with a seperate living room, an extra powder room and small pantry! The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room was bright with big windows.
Negatives:
The wash basin in the powder room was prectically blocked. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The shower head was broken and shot water at the ceiling and then fell cold on the person showering. The paint in the ceiling where the water hit it, was pealed off, indicating this was going on for a while. We informed the manager in the morning but never heard back with an apology or any mention of problems being fixed. The road noise was also prominent at night. Too many scuff marks on the walls. Non existent ward robe space.

Positives:
The location of the hotel and the hotel lobby
Negatives:
The staff’s demeanor is flat and neutral. Not warm. Twice I noticed the staff were chatting behind the reception counter. Not all of them were receptionists.
My room was supposed to be 500 sq foot, but it was probably 300 sq foot. The front desk simply told me it was just a different layout. I paid more but the room was not more.
Again, people work at the restaurant are also flat and neutral to say the least. They get what you ask, but they don’t appear to be happy to help you. They make me wonder if they like their job?!

The room was small and a bit outdated. There was a hole in the wall. Lighting in poor and no place to do make up and hair.

Positives:
The atmosphere is so welcoming. It's very unique. It's clise to everything I need.
Negatives:
Sometimes silly little details like the close hadn't been set to the right time. But that's being nitpicky.
