All in all it was...

We were greeted on arrival by front desk staff and the hotel served breakfast

There were roaches in room 112, and we had to leave because they were getting on our belongings. I requested a refund for the remaining balance, but the hotel has not yet refunded the difference.

It was uncomfortable

1st and far most I really didn't get the chance to even see the rooms condition. After driving 10 hours and 45 minutes I arrived at the hotel just to be told by the attendant that she couldn't find my booking which was a lie After she can't my booking just to rent out my rooms to someone else.. I tried calling a booking.com agent to fix the issue and weren't able to get in contact with anyone.. At the last minute at 11:08pm I had to go to the Budget Inn and get a room tired from driving all day. I'd really like to speak with a Booking.com agent about this issue...

Maintenance was done in our shower with spray paint. The room had awful fumes of paint. The paint wasn’t dry. I called down to the desk and they refused to place us anywhere else even though we had to shower we were told to go ahead and use the shower in the wet paint, and there was nothing that they could do

After traveling 31/2 hours to the hotel it was 7:41 PM
Melissa - came around the corner of the front desk, saw a line of us quietly waiting to check in. She had what appeared to be linens of some sort in her hands. She then walked back behind the wall cussing because we all wanted to check in.
Her exact words, “mother fucker god damn people wanting to check in.”
Then her ignorance, arrogance or whatever other “gance” you’d like to add is on full display for all of us.
Sadly we couldn’t change our reservations to somewhere else without being charged $75 otherwise we would be staying elsewhere. The room was supposed to be non smoking but when we walked into the room there was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smell. In turning down the covers to the bed, there were stains on the white sheets. I took pictures of our room and the sheets.
The next morning we expressed our disappointment during the check the prior night to the person at the front desk. She took my husbands number and said she would let the Manager know and he would contact us. He never did. We have stayed at many Days in by Wyndham during many travels, this was by far the worst. No one did anything to make it right.

It appears that there are many folks living there full time. There were several vehicles in parking spaces which appeared to be non drivable. The hallways smells strong of marijuana. Room provided was not the room I selected nor the one described when I received my confirmation.

The rooms were not updated. They didn’t look like the pictures online. The mini fridge in my room didn’t work. The bolt latch that you turn to lock your door from the inside didn’t work and when I asked the front desk about it she shrugged her shoulders and said I don’t know. Bed has stains on the sheets. Mattress slides off the bed Ceiling looked like it has water damage.

The front desk was polite and the beds slept well.

The room smelled like a smoking area. The bathtub looked dirty. There was no iron. I went to the front desk and they didn't even have one. The bed linens were super thin and worn. The toilet was close to running over when flushing. There was a lot of police activity in the area. Two blue lights in the hotel parking lot talking to a group of people when we arrived. I was a bit worried my vehicle would get broken into. I heard two people who had "third party" bookings get turned away because they were overbooked while I was in the lobby.

Dirty and poorly maintained. Smoke alarm went off during the night and night manager wasn’t on duty. After an hour when manager showed up, she told me to take battery out since maintenance had failed to change them and she had no new batteries.

Noise of other people, was next to an exit door and other people went in and out several times at night and banged the door, woke me up. Exhaust fan didn't work in the bathroom.
