I booked a room for $78 and pay at location. When I arrived at 3pm my room had been canceled. He said he tried to take the money off my card at 8am October 12th. but it declined. I asked why and I chose pay at property on October 12th. He said cause the rates went up to $155. I asked him why he said because off a college football game was in the city.that day. He said I can get the room for $155 plus tax. I refused and went somewhere else. I was already locked in at a certain rate and I shouldn't have been canceled to then be charged $155 at the property that amount. He said he had plenty of rooms available but when I went back on line he had changed the price and had no rooms available. I feel like it was gouging because of an event goin on that day.

The staff was mostly nice. The room had a bit of an odor, but I think it was just the cleaner they use.
Best thing is it had wonderful AC.
We were in the back away from the freeway noise and the room was nice
If I didn't have the dogs, I wouldn't mind staying there again

The main reason we selected this hotel is it was advertised as pet friendly. The website still reflected this.
We had to pay an additional non-refundable $35 for each dog, which was totally unexpected.
And it's been a while since I stayed in a hotel, so I'm not sure if it's their policy or a new thing, but there was also an additional $50 deposit to stay. That WAS refundable and we got it back the next morning.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience
