Negatives: The hotel is in the middle of much needed renovation. Our room had not been renovated yet and had water stains and peeling ceiling. There were small, very hard, square pillows on the bed. We requested something different but none were available.

Positives: The room was functional and the breakfast food was good.
Negatives: The primary concern was that the whirlpool was broke, which was what we had booked for. Aside from that, there was white dust all over the carpets, the fitness center was also not working, the wifi didn’t work, and to top it all off, we were charged twice.

Positives: The room was nice-sized, attractive and comfortable.
Negatives: I was surprised and annoyed that though there was a refrigerator, there was no microwave. They had "room service" (ordering out) the was atrociously expensive. I paid over $30 for a very mediocre chicken salad. Another big problem - there was no shower curtain! But it was late and I was tired by the time I noticed, so I showered anyway and got water all over the floor.

Positives: Very clean, quiet, and spacious rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was great with fresh eggs, waffles, and oatmeal.
Negatives: The king bed only has 4 small pillows. And we were only able to get one additional standard pillow plus a decorative pillow upon check-in. Should have requested this when booking.

Positives: Nice hotel to explore Salt Lake City without paying downtown prices as it was an easy bus ride straight from the hotel. Location near to freeways gave direct access to Salt Lake itself though there wasn’t much there without driving a huge distance round the lake. The rooms didn’t have a microwave but it was easy enough to use the microwave in the lobby which was tucked away so not to be too embarrassing! The staff were extremely helpful and generously provided bottled water, fresh fruit and freshly made cookies in the reception area. The breakfast was decent too.

Positives: Great room standard. We liked the breakfast. Late check-in past 11pm was possible.
Negatives: Can't complain about facilities and the overall standard but I had a bad customer experience. First, the 11pm check-in deadline posted on hotel's Booking page is not true. There is no such information directly on Hilton page and, knowing I could arrive past 11pm, I tried to clarify it. However I sadly got no response to my Booking.com messages and phone calls. Eventually I arrived past 11pm and turned out front desk was normally working. Second, I got a confusing message from hotel saying I needed to wear a mask in hotel's public areas. It didn't make any sense and sounded outdated. My overall feeling talking with front desk person about it was that the hotel had little/no control over messages sent and received in Booking intranet and regardless whose fault this is, it's confusing for the customer. Last but not least, despite paying for room in advance, I was charged again only after I had left, and it took me a while to have the double charge refunded.
