Very poor
Positives:
It’s a nice location, the room was clean and spacious.
Negatives:
Well I’m not sure who was at fault. Either the person who checked me in or the early morning receptionist. This is what happened. Me and my wife had gotten up early before we were to check out and take advantage of the breakfast. Fortunately we were dressed as a result of breakfast. We hear someone at the door and the door just opened. We just happened to have the swing lock on the door. The person opens the door with a key ( I’m flabbergasted in shock ) I yell hey then get up and go to the door. A young man is in the hallway with a key to our room. He apologizes and shows me the key holder has my room number. I put on my shoes and go down to the front desk and the young man is there and I’m pissed asking for an explanation. How does this happen? With some of the stories you hear about breaches in security I’m very uncomfortable set. The person at the desk tells me that I’m supposed to be 3 floors higher than on the fifth floor he states. But we were given a room on the 2nd floor. He asks if we had been moved for some reason and I stated no this was the room we were assigned. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and I’m not sure I could book another stay.

Negatives:
We checked in and immediately regretted our decision as the property was DIRTY, smelled of cigarettes in the hall and rooms they attempted to put us in. We walked into the first room to find hair all over the bathroom floor and tub dirty. The light switch in the bathroom was also very loose and alarm clock dead. The countertops were dirty as well as the cookware and the room itself was dingy (carpets walls etc).
We asked front desk to put us in a better room since this was unacceptable (I am pregnant have a 2 year old and a dog) to which the clerk claimed we should’ve checked in with him instead of “the woman” he would have given us a better room. We proceed to move our belongings down the hall to this so called better room and it was worse than the first one!
At this point I’m looking up hotels in the area and book the Doubletree which was much cheaper and much nicer than this dump. The manager Kathy assured my husband she would void his stay and not contest Booking for a refund yet here we are over a week later and they are not responding to Bookings request for a refund.
We took a chance on this place because there are not many dog friendly hotels without weight restrictions and the reviews claimed this place was “old but charming”. IT IS NOT. If you don’t mind dirt, dust, cigarettes, other guests hair in your room, maybe even bed bugs since it’s not giving off the sense people care about cleaning properly, this place is for you.
Otherwise STAY AWAY AND BOOK A CLEANER NICER HOTEL IN THE AREA!
