It was somewhat quiet until I was woken up by the next room TV.

Upon checking in I was never asked for ID to identify myself or the card for payment. Even when I ordered food the. Front desk said they let people come in without calling the room first. So yes, security is lacking.
Furniture is old and outdated and walls were filthy.
Room had an oder to it.
No hot water for the shower. No towels in the room. Housekeeping is terrible. Shower was dirty with hair in it and stains on the carpets.
When laying in bed I looked over at nightstand that someone had clearly spilled something and never cleaned up.

The location is perfect. The lady at the reception was super friendly and welcoming us as a family of three with a dog. She absolutely made us feel comfortable. The hotel is a little outdated, but our room had a lot of space for us to just have a good night rest to head out the next morning. King beds were very comfortable.
Negatives:
The room was freezing when we came in. The ac was turned down to 54. Once we had the heater started, it was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast is starting at 7. Thankfully, the night shift was working on it before that, and we were able to head out at 7.

It was dirty, stains on the carpet and furniture stains on the curtains. Smelled strongly of chlorine where it bothered my asthma.

Its remodel is terrible and nothing was working such as the door lock to our room. There was no ice machine as it was broken.

This LA Quinta provided an utterly appalling accommodation experience. The room was a haven for insects, with live flies buzzing around and dead ones littering the floor and window sills. Adding to the disgust, the AC unit was also adorned with dead bugs, and the shower and ceiling were marred by visible mold. The room's security was questionable, as the door showed signs of forced entry and didn't close properly.
To compound the misery, the breakfast was subpar. The sausage had an unsettling taste, the eggs were undercooked, and the staff manning the dining area displayed a shocking level of rudeness towards guests.
This LA Quinta fell far short of acceptable standards for lodging, especially for a family. Had any alternative been available, I would have checked out immediately. This stay has completely dissuaded me from ever considering another LA Quinta.
