Positives:
It was close to the attractions we were interested in visiting. It also had an indoor pool for the kids
Negatives:
This hotel is old and run down. The tub was clogged. There was a dirty cup beside the bed. The carpet needed to be cleaned/vacuumed. The freezer door in the refrigerator was broken. We could feel the springs in the mattress. There was blood on the duvet.
Positives:
Great proce
Negatives:
The people in the room next to me were loud and I heard their conversations all night long!

Place needs work.
Positives:
Location miles away and price less than $---after taxes compared to the other hotels near VMI, there is a Drive In Threather less than a half mile down the street, a Walmart two miles and a gas station with good snacks across the parking lot
Negatives:
The room was extremely himid even though the aircon was running. You can smell the moisture in the air. I wan't crazy about the staff they were not as welcoming as I thought the front desk should be. felt like they had bad days.

Positives:
THE BREAKFAST WAS OK, THE COFFEE WAS OK.
Negatives:
WE HAD A MAJOR LEAK IN THE CEILING OF THE BATHROOM, WHILE MY GRAND DAUGHTER WAS TAKING A SHOWER! SHE WAS TRAMATICED! THE WATER JUST STARTING POURNING DOWN FROM ABOVE THE TOILET, RIGHT NEXT TO THE SHOWER! SHE WAS GETTING SPASHED, ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS WERE GETTING SPASHED, SHE WAS SCREAMING TO ME FOR HELP! AS SOON AS I SEEN THE "WATERFALL" I CALLED THE FRONT DESK IMMEDIATELY. ALL 4 OF US STARTED PACKING OUR FRESHLY PUT AWAY CLOTHES, AND BATHROOM HAIR AND FACE PRODUCTS. THEY CHANGED US TO THE FORTH FLOOR WHERE THERE WAS BLACK MOLD IN THE SHOWER. AFTER SHOWERING NONE OF US FELT CLEAN, HOUSEKEEPING DID NOT DO A VERY GOOD JOB, BLEACH AND A WIPE WOULD EASILY HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THIS IN THE BEGINNING. THE CARPET WAS WET. IT SMELLED MUSTY. THE ELEVATOR WAS BROKE AND THE ONE THAT WORKED SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO QUIT VERY SOON. WAS SCARED TO RIDE IN IT, WE WERE GIVEN A NEW ROOM BUT IT WAS JUST AS DIRTY AS THE FIRST ONE. THE POOL AREA WAS MOLDY. ALL AROUND THE POOL AND THE FLOOR IN THE POOL ROOM HAD BLACK MOLD, THIS HOTEL NEEDS A MAJOR CLEANING AND DISINFECTING. EXTREMELY DIRTY. I HAVE ASTEMA, I NEEDED MY ENHAILER MANY TIMES DURING THE STAY. WE ALL WOKE UP STUFFY AND THE COMFORTER, FLOOR, TABLES, OUR CLOTHES AND ROOM WAS "WET" FEELING.
AS WE WERE CHECKING OUT, I TOLD THE WOMEN AT THE FRONT DESK OF ALL OUR CONCERNS, SHE SPOKE TO THE GENERAL MANAGER CHRISTINA LAFON 540-463-6400 AND THEY AGREED TO GIVE US 1 NIGHT TO BE REFUNDED. Since we used a 3rd party company, we were advised to write an email and the credit would be refunded.
I honestly would take this hotel off of your list until renovations are completed. i have video of the "waterfall" in the bathroom if you need it. The flood was in room 109, we were moved to 403 I believe. We would have left the hotel that night but we were committed on looking at houses for 2 days in the area. Even the staff (exept one women) seemed to have an attitude with my family and I.

THIS HOTEL WAS THE VERY WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER BEEN IN. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
Positives:
Check in was wonderful. She was friendly, engaging, and informative.
Negatives:
Check out had 2 woman sitting there not saying a word to anyone. I left at 630am and breakfast wasn't ready, when I asked they just looked at me and didn't say a word. Never offered a receipt and they appeared annoyed when I spoke to them.

Area needed cleaned, most staff need a better attitude, and don't expect that breakfast !
Positives:
I loved that I could bring my puppy and everyone was so friendly. We had a comfortable bed, plenty of room, and the room was clean! My kids enjoyed stretching out and watching cartoons after a long car trip while I walked our puppy outside in the large field. My daughter loved that she could have a fresh waffle for breakfast, and the coffee was great.
Negatives:
I wish there had been bagels and cream cheese for breakfast.
