Breakfast was phenomenal. Pool was a great hit for the kids.
Negatives:
Staff was pleasant but seemed to hurry us along for they seemed too busy to help. We were in the room next to the fitness room and there was a constant bang with the connecting wall of our room and the fitness center.

Positives:
Hampton Inns generally have a high standard and this location meets that standard. Clean, comfortable location. Breakfast was fine - one thing I appreciated was that they held the coffee at a drinkable temperature; at some hotels you pour a cup and have to wait fifteen minutes to drink it. And one thing I also appreciated was that it was quiet, even though the hotel is close to the Beltline. I have stayed at other hotels in Madison where the traffic noise was an issue, but not at the Hampton.
Negatives:
The hotel is pet friendly and that's not an issue per se, but one of the guests on our floor had a dog that barked a lot. Not much the hotel management could have done about that, though, and it's likely on a future stay that it wouldn't be an issue.

Breakfast was good. Lots to choose from. Room and bathroom were extra large which was really nice; bed very comfortable. The room was also very quiet.
Negatives:
No fan in the bathroom. I couldn't close the curtains to block out light. The television screen had two areas of dot patterns with large spots where it seemed pixels had been burned through.
