Positives:
The location is the best thing about the Fairmont Waterfront if that part of town is where you would like to be located. It suited our purposes for the first part of our trip but for the next 3 times we were in Vancouver we preferred Richards Street and the L'Hermitage Hotel for its proximity to Yaletown.
To sum it up. It's a Fairmont which means its clean, the service is nice, the room is a good size and reasonably well taken care of but after staying at the Fairmont Waterfront, the Fairmont Lake Louise, the Fairmont Banff and the Fairmont Vancouver Airport I really didn't think they were great as hotels or worth the money. Obviously the Fairmont Lake Louise and Banff are stunning hotels but they're not the Savoy in standards.
Negatives:
Nothing disliked. I just found you were paying for the name and nothing else. The fellow at the front desk was very helpful with accommodating us and very professional and I have no complaints about the hotel. It's just that it really doesn't differentiate itself from any other chain like the Hyatt or Hilton or the like.

The hotel charged me on the double as I had paid through booking.com but they charged again without my approval on booking in. They did apologies but it took over a week for my money to be refunded along with a deposit so I wasn't happy to be left this long without these funds. They blamed the bank but ultimately it was the fault of the hotel as they took money on my card without authorization.

Excelence in every detail! Upon our arrival, our check in was made and our keys were already available with the Bell Post. Never in my life, I was in my room so speedily. Teh room as everything we hoped for: spacious, comfortable and pleasant. The service was cordial and efficient. The location was ideal in relation to our previous Cruise and adjacent car trip. The express check out was perfect and trouble free.

Check In Level 9 very good it also enabled us to stay in the Lounge when we checked out due to a late flight.
The lounge facilities was excellent probably the best i have experienced in many years of travel.

We were going on a cruise and the hotel is directly across from the port. The hotel's bell staff took care of our luggage and getting it to where it needed to be! Excellent staff!
