Very good
Positives:
It was close to where our relatives live. This has always been the case. It was the reason we stay there.
Negatives:
No back up generators. Yes, there was a tropical storm. I understand that. I never expected that a Choice Hotels property would be THAT ill-prepared. This hotel is in an area which has suffered ice storms, etc. Don’t have to be a genius to consider the possibility of severe power outages. It was horrible. No power. No running water. No offer of a rebate or a full refund. Our room was accessed while we were not on the property. We were never notified the staff would be leaving the door to our room (236) wide open. My phone number was on file with the front desk. That is inexcusable. We have overlooked the multitude of issues with this property in the past. No longer. Security is non-existent. The same locks on the same doors do not work. Haven’t for years. There aren’t even lock cylinders on a couple of them. I am my own security system. The place hasn’t been updated in decades. I know this property is owned by VP Management. They own several other properties in Princeton, WV. We will be sure to never book at one of those facilities.

Positives:
Well, it’s a beautiful location. It was very clean outside and inside. The bed was a king size bed. It was very clean and comfortable the air conditioner. Heat worked perfectly. The bathroom shower was fantastic. Even the cleaning crew was very nice to us. The guy that worked behind the counter big guy good Christian fellow another lady I met there was a good Christian lady that worked behind the counter the breakfast waffle was pretty good and they have cereal and they have oatmeal and they have grits and they have toast and jelly. They also have juice and the coffee was good. I would recommend it to anybody. I enjoyed it.
